Though it's only been open for a few months, City Tap in Fulton Market is working hard to integrate itself with the neighborhood. That's what made the City Trap brand so successful when it was founded in West Philadelphia nearly a decade ago, and it's what the owners are trying to replicate with their very first outpost in Chicago.
The early reviews from customers are promising, with high marks for everything from the drinks and food to the atmosphere and service. Beer is obviously the main draw here, with dozens of craft beers on tap and still more of cans and bottled reserves. On top of the drinks, though, you'll find an impressive selection of dishes, whether you're looking for a happy hour snack, brunch, lunch, or dinner. Standout offerings include the burrata and toast starter, the Abe Froman pizza, and the fried chicken sandwich.
