The Millennium Park Summer Film Series is already underway and drawing crowds to the Jay Pritzker Pavilion every Tuesday night. Although the free outdoor movies are an annual tradition in Millennium Park, there's a new twist this year. Before each feature film, a Chicago-based filmmaker screens a short movie for the audience to enjoy.
Spread out a blanket on the lawn or grab a spot in the stadium-style seating at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion to catch one of the upcoming showings. On Tuesday, July 24th the jumbo screen will show Get Out, a critically acclaimed thriller that explores the subject of race as a chilling story unfolds. The atmosphere will be a bit lighter when School of Rock entertains the audience on Tuesday, August 7th and when the colorful family movie Coco splashes across the screen on August 14th. All shows start at 6:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted.
