Windy weather isn’t Chicago’s only claim to fame. It’s also known for its unique deep-dish pizza, which flips the sauce and the cheese for an inverted pie unlike anything served elsewhere in the world. At Pizza City Fest Chicago, guests will celebrate the signature Chicago pie alongside other styles of pizza all day long.
In fact, more than 10 types of pizza will be sliced and served at the two-day event in the Loop at Plumbers Hall. From the classic Chicago deep-dish to Sicilian, Detroit-style, and artisan pies, you’ll find a broad variety of slices to try from more than 40 pizza makers on July 23rd and 24th. The roster of vendors has been carefully handpicked by Steve Dolinsky, the mind behind Pizza City USA, The Ultimate Chicago Pizza Guide, and the “Pizza City” podcast. Each day, 20 pizza chefs will take turns using the 10 on-site ovens to craft their delicious creations. Since different chefs will attend each day, you can opt to stop by on both Saturday and Sunday ($89) or choose to attend just one session ($59). Your ticket will include all-you-can-eat pizza, access to pizza-centric seminars and demos, and much more.
