the Chicago Air and Water Show. This event has been held every year since 1959 and is

Chicago’s second most popular public festival. Every year the Chicago Air and Water Show attracts about 2 million spectators. View the extravaganza along the lakefront between Oak Street and Fullerton Avenue; only a ten-minute walk from Two West; on Saturday, August 19th and Sunday, August 20th.

The Chicago Air and Water Show is a historic and thrilling event with the participation of the best civil and military pilots. These talented pilots fly civil planes side by side with military jets in aerobatic shows and free-fall demonstrations. Additionally, Chicago’s own Fire Department Air/Sea Rescue Team will be performing a simulated sea rescue. The show concludes with a dazzling fireworks display.

As this event attracts so many visitors, make sure to get your spot early! Catch all of the spectacular demonstrations by aircrafts, boats, and diving and parachute teams.
